Bronze Plaques

In addition to, but not in place of, existing monuments Honor Our KIA has, with funds contributed by a grateful community, installed individual bronze plaques, for each of our 157 hometown heroes on prominent public and private buildings throughout downtown Griffin.

Installed on buildings where we shop, work, live these plaques in effect demand our attention and the repetitive impact of seeing one plaque, then another and another cannot help but impress on even the most casual passerby not only the sacrifice made by each local hero individually but also the enormity of our community’s collective loss.

Next to each plaque is a QR code enabling anyone with a smart phone to access the detailed biography of that particular warrior as well as other related information on our website.
