Not much information is found about the life of Artis Milner. What we do know is that he was born in 1918. His sister, Mrs. Myrtice M. Truett lived at 1016 W. Solomon Street in Griffin.

Cpl. Milner enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 29, 1942. He was a member of the 168th Infantry, 34th Division. He died on November 4, 1943 and is buried in Sicily-Rome, Italy.
