Roy C. Wells, Jr.

Attended the Kincaid School

Roy C. Wells, Jr. was born in 1924. He grew up at 199 Cheatham Street in Experiment and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Wells.

Attending the Kincaid School, Wells had two brothers. He and his family worked at Dundee Mills. Private Wells joined the U.S. Army on April 27, 1943 and was assigned to the 45th Division of the 179th Infantry.

A short ten months later, on February 17, 1944, Wells would be killed in action. He is buried in Sicily-Rome-Nettuno, Italy.
